I've just read your article 'Let's hear it for the Boys' and have to say I'm very disappointed. It's your article and I see you're quoting a recent survey, but you don't say a single thing in praise of men. Have you nothing positive to say about us?

You highlight that men rarely hear words of appreciation. I agree and you compound this by singularly failing to offer any yourself. Quoting someone saying we're good at lifting heavy loads, putting up bookshelves, or making women feel good just sounded patronising.

Editor's Note: I'm sorry that you found the article negative towards men - it was intended to convey the exact opposite. While I may not have specifically cited 'male' qualities (would you not have considered this equally stereotypical?), I think I did make the point that there are very many positive things about men.
